It's finally here, the Everyday Math Assessment Differentiation System is finally up and running on the Everyday Math website.
What is the Everyday Math Assessment Differentiation System (ADS)? Possibly the most useful and effective differentiation and enrichment tool yet. Using the ADS teachers can modify lessons for each student in his or her respective classrooms. The ADS allows teachers to select differentiation activities (worksheets and games) for each Domain and corresponding strand of the CCSS.
Once a teacher has selected the Domain and strand they're looking for, the ADS provides a number of leveled activities for that particular content. Essentially teachers could have students working on differnt leveled worksheets, at different centers, and yet still be covering the appropriate content that is aligned to the CCSS and the lesson. This is great for everyday use as well as for the SBFs (Skill Building Focus Days) in grades K-2. These activities can also be constructively used during the weekly FDA (Flex Day Activities) in all grades K-5.
The ADS consist of four sections; Assessments, Activities, Reports, and Test Generator. In Summary, the ADS is an online tool that allows teachers to:
-Record and monitor student progress
-View student reports
-Browse, assign, and print approximately 900 activities correlated to the CCSS
-Author new assessments that can be used to formatively evaluate student progress
-Admimister online assessments to track student progress
For more detailed information about the ADS and how to access and use the tools, please see the ADS Quick Start and ADS Walkthrough PDFs that are now available in our Edmodo group, SPS Elementary Math. You may also ask your building EML for copies of these documents.
