Are you familiar with the CCSS? If you're not or if you're not as well informed as you would like to be, the odds are that you're not alone. That is why Stamford Public Schools is hosting a CCSS Community Forum tonight.
The CCSS Community Forum will cover the major changes in subject areas at all three levels (Elementary, Middle, and High School) of our schools. The forum will begin promptly at 7:00pm tonight inside of AITE.
This forum is to help educate and inform parents, teachers, and members of the community about the coming chages to eduation as a result of CCSS. The focus for elementary math will surround the three major shifts in mathematics. These shifts include Focus, Coherence, and Rigor. For more information about these shifts and how they will be reshaping the curriculum of scholars throughout Stamford Public Schools, please come and attend the forum.
